National Children's Gardening Week - 29 May - 6 June 2021
National Children's Gardening Week (and the promotional campaign leading up to it) promotes the benefits that gardening has for children. It promotes gardening to the parents and grandparents of nursery and primary school-age children. As a garden business, you can get involved with the campaign free of charge. Take a look at the website for more information. www.childrensgardeningweek.co.uk
Teaming up with Peppa Pig
This year we are collaborating with Peppa Pig to raise money for Save The Children, a charity that helps children in the world’s toughest places stay healthy, safe and get the chance to learn.
We are producing Peppa Pig booklets for you to give away in-store to families to take home and enjoy. There will be an optional donation to Save the children. Customers will be able to find participating retailers via the National Garden Gift Voucher store locator, so this a great opportunity for you to attract customers to your store.
This campaign is partnered with Peppa Pig, Save The Children, and Regatta Great Outdoors to bring fun gardening activities to families, and raise vital funds for Save the Children. All of these brands will be advertising this campaign throughout the week.

Free social media 'How to go live' workshop
We ran a free social media workshop for National Children's gardening week this year. You will be able to learn how to run a successful online event, use Zoom and interact with your customers through social media.
Inspirational gardening projects
In the run-up to National Children's Gardening Week, we will be posting fun activities on Facebook, which you can share with your customers through your own social media or communications. The projects inspire people to 'give it a go'; they all come with a shopping list for the project and full instructions. All you need to do to share a project is:
1. Follow National Children's Gardening Week on Facebook: www.facebook.com/nationalchildrensgardeningweek
2. Share the posts that promote a gardening project on your own Facebook page or other social media accounts
It's that simple. By working together we can give these fun gardening projects huge exposure, inspiring more people into gardening.
Get involved: in-store support materials
We are currently producing free point of sale for National Children's Gardening Week. This can be ordered through our web store hta.org.uk/store or by phone.
The point of sale can be used to promote anything you're doing in-store or online. The materials are great if you want to run any online / in-store promotions related to children's gardening, either during or in the run-up to National Children's Gardening Week. You can also download artwork to use in your online promotions.
Supporting Greenfingers Charity
We're using National Children's Gardening Week to raise the profile of Greenfingers Charity to the general public. This should make it an exciting and motivating week for families and colleagues working in the garden industry to get behind.
