With 20 years’ experience of working in the Visual Merchandising Industry, working for luxury brands; Harrods & Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Marks & Spencer.

Sarah has run her own business, Visual Merchandising Courses since April 2006. Working with retailers and independent clients to achieve an increased understanding of Visual Merchandising and how this can be implemented to improve your sales and shopping experience for your customer.

Sarah also lectures for The University of the Arts London and The London College of Fashion. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching, Distinction.

 

Julie Hall

Digital & Social Media Marketing

Julie is the founder of The School of Marketing.  She has been training small business owners’ business and marketing skills for over 16 years and has been focusing on Digital Marketing for the last 10.

Julie first got into the digital world when she started building websites in 2001.  From there she created the boutique web design agency, Springmedia before going on to found Women Unlimited, a business community of over 20,000 female entrepreneurs.

She is one of the Digital Garage on Tour trainers for Google and is also trains new Google trainers on how to run digital workshops.  She is a recognised expert in Digital Marketing, often speaking at conferences and events on digital skills.

 

Sam Dowdall

With over 30 years’ experience in Retail, Customer Service & Heritage Management Sam Dowdall has a breadth of knowledge in sales, merchandising, staff management & motivation as well as interpretation and design, conservation management and visitor management attained from a variety of positions from independent Garden Centres to large organisation visitor centres and heritage sites.

 Sam started Speyside Management to assist managers and business owners spend more time ‘on’ their business, rather than ‘in’ it; getting the most from their staff to improve sales, turnover, and customer experience as well as staff confidence.

She firmly believes that ‘Customers don’t buy products, they buy concepts’.

 

Helen Chambers NDSF

Customer Service/Selling Skills

Helen has been involved with many different aspects of the Horticulture industry for the majority of her career. After formal floristry training, Helen managed a flower concession within a garden centre in Suffolk. Once qualified she progressed to teaching at Easton College in Norfolk.

As well as selling directly within the independent retail sector Helen has sold to many of the UK’s retail multiples whilst working for supermarket suppliers. For the past 5 years Helen has been designing and selling numerous products to Waitrose; increasing the £8m account by 15%. Helen has also sold bare root roses, bulb and seed kits, cut flowers, Christmas, indoor plants, shrubs and numerous added value products to many of the multiples.
