In March 2024, over 40 young landscapers applied to be part of the 2024 APL World Skills UK (WSUK) Landscaping competition, with the national finals which occurred on the 18 - 22 November 2024.

BBC Gardeners World Live Urban Gardens

Back in November 2023, The APL organised the National Finals of the World Skills UK Landscape Competition held in Oldham. 8 Competitors were given 16.5hrs to build a garden test piece from scratch. This year there was the extra incentive to finish in the top 4. The prize was an opportunity to build a show garden at the 2024 BBC GWL flower show and have it judged as a show garden by an expert panel.
