Salary – £25,000 – £28,000 depending on experience, knowledge & skills

We’re looking for a proactive and passionate Digital Marketing Executive to join our dynamic Marketing team and drive digital communications across multiple channels. About the HTA

The HTA has 1,350 members, including garden retailers, growers, landscapers, and suppliers to the garden industry. The HTA lobbies and campaigns for its members within the horticulture industry and has an excellent reputation. We provide our members with the opportunity to learn, be creative, and network with others in the industry.

We have been running the National Garden Gift scheme since 1962. These garden gift cards can be bought and redeemed at HTA Garden centre members sites throughout the UK and can also be purchased online and in some supermarket gift card malls. It is the biggest garden gift card scheme in the country – locking in around £40 million of consumer spend to horticulture and our members’ businesses.

About the role

This full-time role is based at our main office in Chilton, Oxfordshire, with hybrid working available. You’ll typically be required in the office 2-3 days per week for team collaboration and can choose to work remotely for the rest of the week. Travel within the UK, including occasional overnight stays, will be required.

Your responsibilities will include:

As our Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering creative and engaging digital communications. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Email Marketing: Manage and deliver regular newsletters (e.g. HTA Member Update, APL Update) from concept to analytics.
  • CRM Support: Act as the CRM 'Super User' for the Marketing team – creating segmented lists and improving campaign targeting.
  • Social Media: Plan and create content across multiple platforms to engage both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Analytics & Trends: Track performance data, research new trends and best practices, and help evolve our strategy.
  • Event Marketing Support: Attend HTA events to support digital promotion and ensure communications are timely and effective.
  • Collaboration: Work across departments to ensure a joined-up approach to marketing and member engagement.

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous marketing experience
  • Experience using Canva (or similar), email platforms, and social media scheduling tools
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Degree or relevant qualification in marketing 
  • Video editing and design skills
  • Website CMS experience
  • Interest in gardening, sustainability or the natural environment
