Garden Designer Membership Application

Below you will find everything that you need to make an application to join the newly created Garden Designer category, as part of the HTA:

 

  • downloadable application form ; please complete all sections apart from ‘Section 4 - References’. Details of your projects, are also not required; as both previously provided.
  • direct debit instruction; we currently have a DDI set up for your subscription. Please only complete a new instruction if there are any changes. Your membership subscription will continue to be spread over 10 instalments in 2025 (February to November). You will receive your new payment schedule once membership has been approved.
  • Current HTA subscription rates;
    • please be aware that HTA subscription fees are Banded based on the businesses’ total turnover.
    • NB: Your subscription fee for 2025 is £195 (plus vat); to support the transition, just a minimum inflationary increase has been applied to the fee.

 

To apply please scan and email the following to [email protected] or post the forms to HTA Services, HTA, Horticulture House, Chilton, Didcot OX11 0RN

 

  • Completed application form
  • Completed direct debit instruction (only if you wish to change your bank account)
  • One of the following approved evidence of turnover, so we can place you in the applicable subscription band (please note, however, that your subscription for 2025 is £195 (plus vat) irrespective of your band):
    • An extract from your latest accounts displaying total turnover for the business. 
    • Written confirmation of the turnover figure, on headed paper from your business’s accountant i.e., an independent accountant
    • Or in the case of sole traders, a copy of your self-assessment tax return form that details the turnover figure. 
    • Alternatively, where accountancy software is used i.e. Xero Accountancy Package, a screenshot of total turnover.

Once your application and relevant paperwork is received, it will be presented to Board for approval. We will keep you updated as to the applications progress and aim to have you up and running in your new membership at the start of 2025.
