APL and WorldSkills UK launch 2025 national landscaping competition
The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) and WorldSkills UK have announced the launch of the 2025 national landscaping competition, to provide a platform for the industry’s brightest apprentices and learners to showcase their skills on a national stage.
Entry is open from 3 March, and employers and training providers in the landscaping sector are invited to enter their rising talent into the prestigious WorldSkills UK Competitions. Designed to align with international industry standards, these competitions help young professionals develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed to excel in their careers.
With over 40 skill areas represented, the WorldSkills UK Competitions feature regional qualifiers and specialist training, leading up to the highly anticipated national finals. This year, the finals will take place in November at venues across South Wales, where competitors will demonstrate their expertise under real-world conditions.

Participants from this year’s competitions could be selected by WorldSkills UK to join its training and development programme for WorldSkills Aichi (Japan) 2028.
