OHAS Standards are available for growers, packhouses and growing media manufacturers.
The Standards are developed and managed by the HTA Scheme Manager and the OHAS Committee. This means they remain relevant to businesses within ornamental horticulture.

Grower Standard
The Grower Standard covers the key functional areas within a business, from how it is organised and run, through all stages of production to product marketing, outlining the procedures in place to minimise business impact on the environment. The Standard consists of 300 compliance criteria arranged in the following sections:

The Grower Standard is benchmarked against the GLOBALG.A.P Integrated Farm Assurance Flower and Ornamentals Standard, audited by our UKAS accredited certification body NSF, and is part of the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative Good Agriculture Practice basket of standards.

Packhouse Standard
The Packhouse Standard meets the global needs of the ornamental packhouse industry. It is internationally recognised and is the only accredited standard available for ornamental packhouses. The Standard covers the following sections:
