Having engaged with a range of member retailers, the HTA’s member retailer committee and the HTA board, there has been overwhelming support for changes to be made to the invoicing, payments and collections processes that support the gift card scheme.

This is a reminder of what’s changing and when.

From 1 July 2026, we will move to a monthly invoicing and payment process, based on full calendar months.

What this means:

Invoices and supporting paperwork for each month will be emailed by the 5th working day of the following month
Payments and collections will take place on the 14th of the month (or the next working day if this falls on a weekend or bank holiday)

For example:

July activity (1–31 July 2026) will be invoiced by the 5th working day of August
Payment/collection will take place on 14 August (or next working day)

Transitional period:

June 2026 activity will continue to be processed as usual (weekly), up to mid-July

This change is the most requested by members and we believe it will streamline the process for retailers and improve consistency across the scheme.

All documentation will be issued by email. Printed invoices and remittance notifications will no longer be sent. If you currently receive printed invoices, we will get in touch to switch you to the email process.
